Miniframes: Developing Embedded Graphical User Interfaces using LCDs and Microcontroller via Micropython User

Posted on October 26, 2020September 18, 2024

There are many GUI toolkits in the standard python but when it comes to embedded device applications, graphical user interfaces must run on Liquid Crystal Displays(LCDs).In developing GUIs for this systems, one needs to go into a much lower level language paradigm using micropython. This talk will discuss the general techniques on developing GUIs in LCDs which are quite different compared to GUis in desktop python. The author will also discuss and demonstrate using physical hardware the implementation of  GUis in LCDs using his developed  micropython library-Miniframes.
